I'm in my late 40's and I spent most of my life trying to gain weight. During the same time most of my family spent most of that time trying to loose it. The grass is always greener on the other side isn't it. Genetically I seem to have the strong heart and cardio systems of my family.
I managed to gain 50 pounds of lean muscle mass over a three year period by following a sound and natural lifestyle, that included good eating habits, and physical activity such as weight training.
I continue to follow a balanced lifestyle even thought I have slimmed down to a natural 140 pounds for my height, which is still considered to be about ten pounds overweight for my frame.
My last physical I had the following statistics:
Pulse rate at resting was 62
Blood Pressure 120/80
My so-called Bad cholesterol level is at 32, and the good level is at 112. Babies are born with a bad level of 45 to 55, so I must be doing something right.
I change my workouts often to avoid boredom, but try to get in several cardio sessions a week, doing a mix of treading water, running, or biking.
Everything in moderation, spirit mind and body. Ich Kahn was Ich Will - I can be what I will myself to be.
